About This Position
ChordexBio is looking for driven and strategic Business Development Officers with roots in STEM to join our growing network on a freelance, revenue-share basis. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the commercial growth of a biotech and programmable biology company operating at the cutting edge of research technology and life science innovation.
In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with potential clients, institutional partners, and investors, and help expand the footprint of ChordexBio and its platforms across Asia-Pacific and globally.

Responsibilities
1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities — including institutional clients, licensing prospects, research collaborators, and investment leads — for ChordexBio platforms
2. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects and partnerships across your region
3. Conduct outreach, discovery conversations, and introductory presentations on behalf of ChordexBio
4. Represent ChordexBio at virtual or physical networking events, conferences, and science expos where appropriate
5. Coordinate with ChordexBio's core team to align business opportunities with platform capabilities and roadmap
6. Prepare proposals, partnership briefs, or introductory decks in coordination with the team
7. Track and report business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue outcomes monthly

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Degree or strong professional background in a STEM field — biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, data science, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical sciences, or related disciplines
2. Demonstrated experience or strong interest in business development, commercial strategy, sales, or institutional relationship management
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to present complex scientific products clearly to diverse stakeholders
4. Existing professional network in life sciences, research institutions, universities, or health-tech sectors is a significant advantage
5. Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage workload independently in a remote environment
6. Proficiency in English; multilingual capability relevant to target region is a strong plus
7. Familiarity with CRM tools, Google Workspace, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools is a plus
QUALIFICATIONS:
You are a strong candidate if you have experience in:
1. Business development, strategic partnerships, or account management in biotech, pharma, medtech, or the broader STEM ecosystem
2. Engaging with academic institutions, research hospitals, government agencies, or private R&D organizations
3. Pitching technology platforms or SaaS products to science-driven buyers
4. Grant ecosystem navigation, contract research organizations (CROs), or technology transfer offices (TTOs)
5. Startup ecosystems, innovation hubs, or venture networks in the life sciences
